BIOGRAPHY
KERIM KALYON
Kerim Kalyon is a British contemporary electronic music producer and engineer of Turkish heritage. His ambient compositions, often integrating speech and found sound, have been described as …evoking liminal spaces where time is suspended… imagination wanders free, and moments of visionary intensity rise and fall out of a deep tranquillity.
Kerims musical journey has led him through a variety of genres. Initially producing Hip-Hop instrumentals for rappers and vocalists, then transitioning over to DJing and producing Grime & Dubstep performing in some of the UK’s most notable venues. Eventually he found his space within the more downtempo side of electronic music, having always taken a keen interest in the ambient and leftfield music of artists like Brian Eno and Boards Of Canada. All the while always retaining a deep interest and active participation in sound & composition for TV and video games.
Kerim now works collaboratively with a variety of musicians, singers and spoken word artists. He has worked as a lead producer of sample libraries for over 6 years and recently, he has been working on project management and mentoring other engineers.
After a period developing his skills in sound design and scoring for video games and television, Kerim is ready to develop new collaborative relationships with artists, film-makers and production companies.
